Pocket Pointers - Located in Cedar City, Utah is Southern Utah only Brittany Breeder. We have one litter a year, the puppies are usually ready to be picked up in October.

Brittany's are the smallest of the pointer breeds , they are nicked named "Pocket Pointers".

What makes our dogs great, first is selection of the parents, next is the extra we go to provide you a great dog. Below is a little bit about what and why we go the extra mile for you.

Generally, genetics account of about 35% of the performance but the remaining 65% (management, training, nutrition) can make the difference. That's why all Pocket Pointer - M 2 K Brittany puppies are raised following the super dog principle developed by the U.S. Military Canine program.(referred to as "Bio Sensor" program in military terms). Basically we handle each puppy once a day performing 5 exercises that stimulate the puppies senses.

These exercises produce neurological stimulations that do not naturally occur at this early age. Pups handled this way show an increased capacity for learning and benefit with improved cardio vascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease.

In short, this stage in a pups life, age 3 - 16 days, is a time that we can make an effort that will impact on the puppies capacity later in life. The purpose of this program is to improve your pet's ability to withstand stress and to improve intelligence. A more confident dog who can handle stress better. This program does not replace the normal socialization handling, and noise acceptance, but is an addition to it. While in the whelping box or up to day 49 when we prefer you pick up your puppy. The second phase is socialization. This early socialization helps produce puppies that bond strongly with humans. The socialization period extends through your puppies 16th week, so we strongly encourage you to continue the process.
