My husband and I were not aware that it is not wise to obtain a puppy this way. From the time she was about six months old, she had health issues. The end came when she was five years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We were longing for another bichon, but were afraid to take the chance of loving and losing again. I found Maryjo's e-mail address on-line and contacted her. She corresponded with me and urged me to give the bichon breed another chance. We did - and we are so happy!!! We adopted Nadia from Maryjo (she was a bichon that had been dropped-off) about four months before we brought Holly (our bichon puppy) home. Maryjo is not only a reputable breeder, but she is a wonderful friend, too!!! Submitted by: Linda Kase on Jun 02, 2008 Our first love was Ashley, the most wonderful (hard to housebreak), but wonderful anyway, white Bichon Frise. That was in the late 80's before Mary Jo moved to Bath. Ashley was so loving and beautiful she was Miss June 1997 in the Bichon Frise Calendar. I'm still proud and the calendar is framed and hanging in our kitchen.Ashley died in 1998. My husband called up Mary Jo and said "Linda, must have a new puppy." Mary Jo said wait I have several bitches in heat...but there were no new puppies. Stan said, she can't wait any longer. MaryJo said she had a Shihtzu...all black and male. A big difference from Ashley, but we knew the important thing was that MaryJo was the breeder. It's been 10 years, Dylan is proof...you can miss one dog and still love another...to infinity. Wish I could show a photo...MaryJo breeds love. That's all you need to know. Thanks MaryJo.
